Replace a frontdoor
-
How can I fit a door in a wall properly.
I'am trying to change a frontdoor in a house, but if I replace the old door with a new one, it doesn't fit;
because of the size
because it's too far in front or too far at the back of the wall.Thank you in advance for your help
Have a nice day

Hi Paul,
You can always modify a door (component?). Could you attach the file so we can have a look?
Also, I am moving this topic to the SketchUp discussions; LayOut is a separate program for which this forum is.

Thank you for your answer. I send you the file the door is at the right site of the house. It's the same problem with the large window next to it.
Sorry, the forum doesn't except teh extension SKB. It says; "The extension skb is not allowed." What can I do now?

Paul,
The skb extension is the backup file extension of SketchUp. Attach the saved skp file instead (better than sending because others may have better ideas than just me)
-
you could of course open the skb file manually by opening SketchUp and then browsing to the file location (make sure to change the File type setting to 'All files'. otherwise you won't see the skb file)

Yeah but he cannot attach it here (as it is not an allowed attachment type)

ah, I didn't know that
(never tried) -
