Minimize SU makes group copies unique

When you have a group which you copy, the Entity Info tells you how many copies of that group exists in the model.
I noticed that when you have one of these groups selected, then minimize SU, all the group objects are now unique when you restore the SU window again
If I minimize and restore without having selected any groups everything is fine. Only happens when a group is selected.
Also, something which seems to be related. When I have a V-Ray for SketchUp Omni light selected, minmize and restore, the smoothing of the light geometry is gone. All lines are now hard visible edges.
It occurs every time.

My spec for the computer I tried with first where:
Abit AN8 32X
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 2.2GHz
2GB RAM
XFX nVidia 8800GTI just tried this on my other system:
Dell Dimension 8300
Intel Pentium4 HT 2.8GHz
1GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9800Under XP SP2, SU6 I get the same behaviour.
Only thing I noticed now was that it's only the selected group copy that becomes unique. The rest remain copies. Don't know why I thought otherwise at first.Also on this system V-Ray omni lights looses their smoothing if the light is selected upon minimize and restore.
So to summon up, only the selected group becomes unique upon minimize and restore.
I'll try some more with different specs. Upgrading the SP2 to SP3 now. After that I'll try out SU7 on it. Then boot into Vista from that machine and see there.

Noticed another thing. I had selected some faces like this:
When I minimize and restore, the selected edges are now suddenly smooth. I'm now seeing the opposite effect I saw from the V-Ray light sphere.
What gives? Such oddity.
