Well i use to have an account here musta gotten deleted, ive posted a post about this before but it was involving aircraft with rib formers, and a fellow showed me how to turn a 3-view into 3D by using sandbox-drawformers...

now i gotta figure out how to make 3D from a 3-view without cutouts(still didnt fully learn it with cutouts) but i have an idea... but its not exactly working...

my idea was to trace all 3 3-views top/right/front(front is a problem for my idea) but anyways i would expand them, and then intersect them, then trim off the excess and i should get my 3D shape... well its not working so easily...

    any other ideas?

    Regards,

    Jacob Cunningham

      Hi Green Ace,

When did you register your previous (disappeared) account?

Anyway, back to your problem: could you show us some exmples?

Edit: just as a "teaser", have a look at this topic in the gallery. It also started from some 2D views of the model (although certainly went quite far from simply building the basic mesh).

      Gai...
