Cool features of SU7

I think the DCs are going to be tremendous when people actually figure out the power locked inside there. I'm sure it will be possible for Google to add extra functions and generally streamline the process if requested. Some of this occurred during their development. Who knows, we might even see something like Fat Faces yet. What were they other than parametric walls?
Like the profile builder plugin under development?
I was looking at all the functions the DC could do. Getting more and more impressed. Components can even be made to face the sun. Seems that a lot of control has been given to us.
Though, I'd wish that I could animate the state of the interactive component parts between scenes. Maybe some ruby wiz' comes up with something. It'd be nice if there turned out to be a way I could render animations in V-Ray.

Yeah, Remus (and all) image exports (consequently animation exports) are MUCH faster and the resolution is WAY bigger. I have just posted this over the "long" thread:
This is a model of over 1.2 million edges and 300,000 faces.
And these exports went about 1-2 minutes on my laptop with 2Gb RAMI was very pleased to see this.

Two things for me:
The ability to split and merge textures up within SketchUp is awesome. I can now reduce file sizes significantly and send my models to Google Earth. The improvements to Layout (too numerous to count) allow me to replace most of the work I would otherwise do in Illustrator or InDesign, and even bits of AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Powerpoint. Here's a little trick I just found - Exploding your viewport into vector lines finally allows you to sneak your DWG titleblock into Layout. Woo Hoo!

MUCH faster still animation exports
May be this is due to highly demanded multicore support???
This would be very nice... -

And exploding your viewport in LO allows you to change line weights (colours, dashes etc.) independently inside your exploded SU model.
Note however that exploding is irreversible and will never update with the later changes of the model so should only be done at the last phase of your work.

So it much faster
Template is much easier to save at the right location
Dynamic component is a great improvement
