How do I create a spiraling tower, please?

Hello there

Thanks to Gaieus help I now have K-Tools "plugged in" as well as the DrawHelix_13.rb to help me with my tower. Still I can´t seem to find a way for the tower to "grow" into the sky the way I want it to. Attached you´ll se a small handsketch of what I want to do.

Any suggestions? I´ll gladly accept any help. Thank you.

Okay, so these are the steps:

Create a helix with different end and start radii and with a 0 pitch (you can also define the No. of rotations)

Now create another one with the same radii but with some pitch (the No. of rotations should be the same).
When ready, move it up a bit so that they don't touch each other (otherwise skin rb won't work).

select both and right click > explode.

with the selection still on, run skin.rb (note that it doesn't always work properly).

if you had this nifty plugin, you could get rid of about half of the edges now (OK, I added below)

finally soften the edges to smooth the surface.

That looks very good. Thanks Gaieus. I´ll try it our later and post my results. I just got word that the draft with the tower got trashed because it has a "biblical negative" feel to it.

Well, it got me in touch with the woderfull world of SU plug ins and
I´ll explore that some more.

I just used the time in between two phoncalls from the customer to
check out the tips. Here are my results. Eggzacktelyi what I wanted.

I´ll check out the links to the other tips because now, naturally, I
want to be able to walk up and down the tower. likes to explore
the programms.
