Expoerting models to 3d warehouse
-
I have a problem with styles i think when i export models to 3d warehouse. What i want to achieve is getting the image of my model displayed in the warehouse with shadows visible. But what happens is that i have the shadows switched on in my model, i upload it to the 3d warehouse and it shows without shadows. How to get it sorted???

I thought it was a limitation of the 3D WH but I just did a test box with shadows and it worked fine.
List the exact steps and attach the model in your next post.
I will upload it as well and see if it gives me the shadows.

Ok. my latest one. It looks flat on the image in the 3d warehouse. It has shadows switched on and even the thumbnail of the file shows shadows. After uploading the model to the warehouse it desn't show shadows as you can see on this link http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=6aceb5114485fb30a21328a4a54425f7
So what's wrong? -
My guess is that they have a limit on what models they will create thumbnails with shadows, your 6 meg model with over half a million edges and over 200 thousand faces is probably above that limit.

i don't think so. i've a model of a tiger tank in the warehouse, it is 10mb and it shows shadows.

I said it was a guess.
