4 Levels of Grouping
-
I see what you mean, but maybe you should just make the parts, and keep a 'spare' of each one. That way, you can create the complex group, then explode the groups within it when they're positioned. If you want to move something, delete the parts and copy the spare, then explode it.
-
I think about solving this issue with a script.
I could write a script that will
Go though all the second level groups, and
If there is another group inside it - explode it,
And repeat this for all the groups until we only have two levels of groups. What do you think?
Should I return to the "grouped" state after the simulation stops?David.

I feel like I'm in too deep I think it'd be a good idea if the groups returned afterwards, as they don't really matter in the simulation. I really don't know any ruby script, so good luck

Its a bug. And one I didnt know of. Thanks David.
Not sure what is causing it but I will fix for SP3.
-
Turns out this isn't really about group depth. It happens when a group contains only a single group.
Group Group Box Box etc.
Ill fix it in SP3.

This problem is not solved as far as I can tell
Thank you.

Welcome back!
Did you look into solving this in SP3x?
Could I help?
Is there going to be an RC2?Thank you
David. -
I thought I had it fixed but apparently not... I need to setup a bug database so these things dont fall through the cracks.
-
Most logical option is to use Google's bug tracking ...

David.Unfortunately the fix caused other models to break. I'll take another look at it and see if I can come up with something safe.

Excellent
Thank you.Could you also fix the reverse face issue? http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=24201#p206890
Hope it is no too complicated.

Its fixed in next version. I hope it doesn't break anything but it was a bad bug and needed to be fixed.
