If I was on the spending committee of the church I'd be voting to save the money and leave things as they are, rather than remodeling. If you did a Sketchup model of the church as it is now, there would be practically no difference between that and the remodel picture.

You list the camera, is that a disclaimer for not being able to get the picture in focus?

Good Sketchup work and style though.

You should add a disclaimer to your posts. "Contains vitriol."

John, the company I'm doing this for took all the pictures and imageshack imported the camera info when I uploaded.

Stinkie, I'll probably do one shortly so I will post when it is finished...

Durant, I don't know what will happen with the doors... I know I can't use them as I live in a apartment...

              Big Bag BubbaLove,

That's a lot of clean you have, bring that.

I would take home the old doors when they pull them, and put them up in your crash crib.

Little widows are Jack bird cool.

              I dig that action.

              Killer.

I like the word "Vitriol" -- like acid baby -- not sure I found such in J1973's action response...

The universe of Churches, and Church goers is a bit of a wild deal -- supernatural as normal.

Getting some groovy changes is fun -- even if small -- if you are into it.

I'm sure paint will be involved, so it might look cleaner, but I feel the vibe of "do it."

Free your mind and Jack bird couple up with the universe.

Here is the render... I still need to work on a few things such as the carpet, ceiling, and wall paint! Everything seems to want to turn red because of the carpet and pews and I can't quite get my head around that yet! This is also the first time using IES lights and they definitely look better than the normal spot or pointlights from Kerkythea! Now I just have to try and find more...

Nice looking rendering, David, although I agree the pink glow from the carpet aint too pretty (but then, I detest the color pink). I have one design crit: the casing around the 6-panel doors looks too thin, IMHO. What are the dark squares over said doors?

David, if you change the carpet from a color to a texture it should remove the pink tint in render.

They are supposed to be speaker screens but I messed up and made them too dark... they were supposed to be the color of the walls... whoooopsies! It's funny you say that about the door casing... as I made it extra thick so the chair rail would die right into to it... maybe its the perspective?

It is a texture Pete, I also added a bump map to it... I know it is definitely my material settings but I just don't know what to do... anyone with experience in Kerky maybe can help! I will post it in the Kerky boards as well and see if I can get something outta them...

I am not versed in KT, but if there is a way of toning down the Irradiance then you may be able to overcome this.

Or a quick color correction in PS should help for a quick fix.

David, I think the thickness of the casing is fine, but for traditional doors such as those the casing should be wider.

Well here is the updated render... still got some 'pink' issues but it's not as bad... anyone?

Pete, I'm not all that good with PS. I changed the hue/saturation for the ceiling on this one... is it any better?

Definately a lot better, I use paintshop pro (not a PS fanboy), I adjusted the back lighting and flashfill.

Like Solo, I aint a KT user but colour bleeding is also an issue with Vray. The workaround is to precalculate the lighting solution with the floor being a white material and you simply switch textures back when it comes to final render and you load the precalculated solution. Not sure if you can do this with KT though 😕

That looks great Pete! But I would like to be able to do a render and not have to adjust it a whole bunch in photoshop... thanks for your help though...
