OK, I know this has been discussed at times but do you think i can find it!!!

I recall someone mentioning how they create a section cut plane in a component which creates a second cut in the rear wall face... anyone?

      purpose/expression/purpose/....

as far as I remember, you had to crate two cutting-geometry components, one for the inner, one for the outer face. pack these two into one component. then you place this overall comp and explode it lateron. now both components work, cutting the inner and the outer face.
you can hide all the geometry in the inner one - it will still do it's cutting duty but doesn't obscure the view iside anymore...

I may be totally wrong... but thats how I remember it 😕
surely someone else has a better explanation or even a tutorial

Thanks Jakob, I think you're right but I didn't realise I had to explode the 'parent' component...
If this is the case, i think i would rather build the component to cut the external wall and just draw a rectangle at the intersection of the inner face of the wall and delete the face... that way if you need to remove the component, at least the out wall will re-build on deletion...
