Shared Model - test # 1
-
To anyone interested...
I've now uploaded a model to the warehouse. I set the "share model" settings to publicly viewable but not editable (see settings attached).
Anyone interested in playing around and testing the new feature, send me a PM saying your 3D WH (Google) account email address and I will invite you as a collaborator (certainly all privacy policy will be applied).A few words about the model (and the actual building):
It is the mausoleum of Vilmos (William) Zsolnay, founder of the Zsolnay Porcellain Manufacture in Pécs (my home town), Hungary in 1852. He died in 1908 and was buried here.
Here is an image of the building at its present state (it will be renovated in the near future).
I modelled this when I had been using SU for only about a couple of months so there are some glitches (and unpurged things) in it. Feel free (really) to do whatever you want with the model - add bycicles, flowers, cannons, playground elements etc. It will do no harm to it - I have the model on my HD and also I can revert it to any previous version in the WH.
When making any change, please, fill in the change log as well so all collaborators can follow the changes.
I actually have another "instance" of the model in the WH uploaded only as a kmz file for GE. Although I worked from (not too detailed) blueprints, it seems to be bit out of scale (but now as I am checking, it looks that it got a blue ribbon alread )
Let's discuss the share function of this model here, in this thread but anyone else wishing to try out what it is to be an "owner" of a shared model, please, feel free to start another thread here and invite members as well.

Count me in!!

OK, GE4EVR has been added and probably accepted the invite because he is now listed as a "collaborator" on the share page (see attached).
Since he hasn't changed anything yet, he is not listed among the contributors yet however (see attached).
At this time it is set that I have to accept any revisions in the model (see attached - this is the "history" page) but we can try something out later.[attachment=0:24y0btnv]<!-- ia0 -->ScreenShot009.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:24y0btnv]
Go ahead, GE4EVR and make some changes you like. -
In the meanwhile, Jakob (Plot Pris) has also joined as a collaborator. I also made some changes - there were some typos in the description - see the history page how it records the revisions
