    How do i mirror an image?

      im looking at the search feature, i got tigs mirror plugins but don't understand how to use it. im trying to create a space shuttle and i want to mirror the first side of my shuttle.

        You can mirror an object by selecting all of the geometry, select the scale tool and grab the green square in the middle of one of the objects sides. The side you grab the green cube on should be parallel to the mirror plane you want but on the opposite side of the object. If this isn't clear, don't worry just play with it. It will make sense.

        After you grab the green cube move your mouse toward the center of the object then type "-1" and hit "enter". This should get you a mirror image.

        If I understand you correctly you want to make an object where one side is the mirror image of the other. If that is right do the following:
        -select all geometry that makes up 1/2 the object
        -make into a component
        -copy component
        -mirror one of the components as described above
        -connect together

        Now if you alter one of the components the other will reflect the change and it will stay symmetrical.

        Hope this makes sense
