Global selection

I would like to see a tool that allows "global selection".

when the toggle button for this function is activated, you can select geometry group-independently down the hierarchy tree, meaning that if you drag a selection frame around any objects, the geometry within groups is selected, not the groups/components themself - as if all the groups/components were exploded. if you are within a group/component all the geometry outside this group is ignored whereas groups and subgroups within are taken into account.

once the geometry is selected you can use any tool to modify the selection, you can move, rotate or even scale it. thus you can create complicated objects whose grouping hierarchy goes down several levels. but you are able to do changes to all the seperate objects at once instead of entering every group seperately and applying the same modifications.
