Is there a way of cutting into a contoured surface and then push/pulling. This is to represent an excavation cut for a building outline. I have tried the drape tool without success. Any ideas? - Thatcher

Have you tried the stamp tool? it sounds like it might do what you want. (its part of the sandbox tools, btw.)

Yeah I've tried that as well and it pulls up a lot side geometry. I think I've cracked it now with pulling the outline through the contoured surface and intersecting. Thanks
