Hello!! Well, I've been working with sketchup for like 2 years for all my Uni projects and now something is happening that I really cant solve.

In this 2 years I've changed my PC some times and now I just bought me a really good one with a
GForce 9800 GTX, that is supposed to be really good! But when I am using sketchup now, I am having a graphic crash on my monitor! Always when I press and hold my mouse button or for example sometimes when I use the line tool and go over a building, the image just crash, and I cant see anything more. Do any of you already had this problem or know how to solve it? Is it related to my graphic board? I just dont understand, because all other programs, and also some very detailed games are just working great with the Gforce I have!

Please some one help! I also added a picture to show how my image is turning out when I try to do something. In the image the building was supposed to stay correct in the middle of the screen, but instead of that, it crashes and becomes like that!

      Thanks guys

Go to window/preferences/openGl and put the AA on 0x, then uncheck fast feedback.

If you have a microsoft scroll mouse or Intellimouse, uninstall the driver and just use it as default plug and play.

I have a Logitech mouse with a really fuzzy driver and software! Should I uninstall it?
As for the AA on 0x, that also means Ill be having to work with a worse quality image on sketchup, doesnt it?

Thanks a lot for the help!!

I would uninstall any mouse driver unless it's a zip-shoot all bells and whistle mouse that will only function with specific drivers. Most generic scroll, optic and remote mouse(s) will work perfectly as plug n play so to save yourself from a complication that could occur rather use generic mouse drivers (plug and play)

There are many users here with the same issues regarding Nvidia 8000 and 9000 series cards, most of the issues can be corrected with the most recent drivers and I am assuming you have updated drivers and still experiancing issues. I had the problem too when I first started using an 8800GTX card and was forced to use SU without AA, it really was not an issue as when I needed to export the final image I just switched it back on and did the export without issue and when I continued modeling I turned it back off.
I found some great drivers from guru3d.com that were NOT authorized drivers but non the less worked like a charm ... and still do.

            Hope this helps.

                Joao,

I also have a fancy Logitech mouse whose driver I simply uninstalled (I know there are ways to fix misbehaviours but I didn't need those functions anyway). Also I work with 0 AA settings for during modeling it doesn't really hurt my eyes while on export you can either set AA (this time it's supported by SU, not the graphics driver) as well as you can postprocess and resample your images in PS to get rid of aliasing.

                Gai...
