[REQ] dwg import segment adjust

Hello All,
Would it be possible to write a script allowing the user to alter how many segments a DWG arc or circle has upon import into sketchup. I have no idea how sketchup determines the # of segments for imported CAD geometry. I think sketchup just defaults any CAD arc or circle to a random # of segments and they have to be redrawn if they arent smooth enough. Anyone have any quick work-arounds or ideas?
