Someone posted a query and I decided that if a picture is worth a thousand words, a tutorial was the answer. I drew out what I needed to and in the process I used components with section plane to be turned on and off as needed as well, I needed to set up 3 layers. Each scene was set up and updated with the required layer on or off but when I play the animation, the "layer 0" won't turn off. What gives??

It is a very simple "tutorial" (for lack of better word). It is only to demonstrate how to create holes through a cylinder, giving the illusion of a solid interior, I'll try this "Upload attachment" link and (if it works) hopefully someone downloads it, figures out the problem and PLEASE lets me know what I'm doing wrong.

Any advise or help would be appreciated. It's probably an easy fix but between the migraines and my to-do list, my brain isn't working it out.

I didn't purge the file so hopefully there's not too much junk in with it. (what purpose does "place incline" serve??

You can't hide the current layer...which appears to be layer0. Just make an extra "control" layer and make that the current one.
