      Hi everyone!

I'm trying to create a smooth curved join between two different faces with differing angles between them, see the attached picture. I've tried creating a single curved path between the centre of each face, then using follow me. I've them 'filled in' using straight lines to create a join. This creates an awful looking link between the faces. What method should I use to get a smooth transition?

      Thanks,

      Nick

        Hi Nick,

You can make a try to use Skin.rb (a ruby plugin) to stitch the sides together - or actually try to connect the vertices of the curves and straight lines manually.

Im assuming the smaler shape is a scaled version of the large shape, if this is not the case ignore this:

If you push/pull the top face out, select one of the end faces and rotate it 90 degrees, finally scale it so it is the size you need it to be.

            Hi Nick,

Here is a very good post dealing with this issue
Cutting angles into the edges of a complex curved shape

In addition, you can use with a certain advantage this PathCopy v.2.1 by Rick Wilson, whose erratic behavior and difficulty of use unfortunately slowing a little its interest. (see: Copying Along A Path _ Cycle Bridge WIP

Thanks guys, I'll try these ideas out. I've loaded skin.rb just need to
work out how to use it! It keeps joining to only one corner of the second face..

              Nick
