Two Face 'material'
-
Is there any script which allows to direct apply a "material" (color or texture) to both faces of a surface?!
Anticipated thanks!

That could be a handy script actually, especially for those that render their models.

+1
I am getting tendinitis from triple clicking geometry and rotating the view to assign mats to both front as back side of faces.

Hi !
Here is a quick script based on TIG "global material change".Adds "texturise selection" to the plugins menu.
Applies a double-sided material.
If you want to add a material to the script list, right-click on the desire material in the material SU window and choose "add to the model".

Very useful. Merci, Matthieu!

Many thanks Matt!
Your script is in a proper conjugation w/ that “material change”.
Perhaps SU 7 will insert a check-box or a toggle button in ‘Materials’ dialog-box, to give as the possibility to direct apply a Two Face material, having the same origin, scale, orientation…, for both sides !?Cornel

Would it be easier to have an observer that automatically adds to the opposite face as you paint a face? Naturally, it could be turned on/off.

Observers.... I've never used these tools... I will try

Thank you Rick !
