Is there a function to calculate surface area in SU? It’s nice to be able to calculate area for non rectangular room plan.

Yes...select a face and right-click. Among the options in the context menu is "Area." There are further options for selected, layer, or materialfor limiting the area measurement.

          Hi folks.

When used on a surface, the Text Tool offer the area by default, using your base unit (square meters if you use meter and so on).

          Just ideas.

              Also,...

...if you leave the 'Entity Info' box open while you work, you'll see that the area of selected face(s) is reported therein.

                Dear All,

You could also use Jim's most excellent 'query' tool. Like TaffGoch I use the Entity Info box all the time, using it to name/rename groups on the fly. Using the Entity Info box with the Outliner box is even better.

                Regards,
                Bob
