More Ratty Styles
-
Cheffey I was thinking about video when I was making those. I'm glad you found them useful.
By the way, I recognize that table.
-
Thank you James.
Can anyone stand a couple more?

Hey Dave!
These look pretty nice in video form too.Ooh, now that shows a need for having multiple watermarks that are chosen in a randomish manner to provide the flickering of old film strips....
-
Sounds like a lot of keyframing if done in sketchup.
Would be an easy add in iMovie or finalcut. -
Thanks Dave.
I just had one pop in my head: back of a napkin style? What do you think?
-
Now it can be in front of your head.
How's this?
You will likely have to crop it after exporting the JPG.

...Superb!

Dear David,
Okay, how about the classic one: the back of an envelope.
Kind regards.
Bob -
Funny you should ask, Bob. Last night before I went to bed I did just that.
-
One more envelope style before I leave for work.
-
These are great, for quick ideas and designs on on the run, not all designs are great hence the need for a toilet paper theme, for those crappy projects.
-
So you also have the greatest ideas (worth sketching) in the toilet, Pete!?
-
The toilet presents me with many Moments Of Inspiration.
-
-
If I could find a decent toilet paper image, I make you a style. I might have to take a picture of some. I'm getting all sorts of ideas now. Thanks guys.
-
You guys are crazy...
-
Dear David,
I have only just seen your back of the envelope styles, and they are great. It is funny how mind work, isn't it.
Regards,
Bob -
Bob, glad you like those styles. Yes, it is funny how minds work.
So I can't help myself. I keep browsing for more images to use for backgrounds. I figured out that if I make a somewhat transparent PNG version of the material and use that for the overlay watermark image, I seem to have somewhat better results.
Here's another ratty style. This time on parchment. Unfortunately the Style file is over 2 Mb so I can't upload it. I'll e-mail if someone wants it.

How do you get the smooth edges? On all the models I make, my biggest complaint is that the diagonal lines are all jagged looking. I'm trying to find a way to make them look nice and smooth like you have in this cabinet pic. Thanks!
