WHO is going to 3D BaseCamp?
-
In terms of a shared Picasa album, we would either:
--Share a communal user ID and Password.
-or-
--Upload our photos individually and tag them with a common term, such as "3DBC08"I would lean towards the latter option, though I have never experimented with tagging (I know it exists, though.) I just don't think there's a way to have people upload to the same album without sharing the account info.
Thoughts anyone?

Hey Everyone,
I'll be at the basecamp and I'm looking forward to meeting you all!
See you there.

Anyone from the UK going?
If so what are the chances of an informal "Mini-Basecamp" session in the UK afterwards, for the poor sods that can't afford all this jet set lifestyle? I don't mind doing some research for locations in the Midlands, and I know WITHOUT DOUBT that the hotels here are way cheaper than London and the south-east. -
That's a neat idea, Mark, and I hope you can meet members who attend at the BaseCamp. Until then, make sure to visit the SCF - 3D BaseCamp Blog.
Also, I really hope we will have a chance to have a European meeting maybe next year so keep tuned!

Would it be helpful to set up a public Picasa web album for SCF? I tend to believe there will be an official one for Google, but perhaps we could have one ourselves, linked to the Blog.
I'll be there, of course. I'm sure after three days no one at the conference will be on speaking terms with me.
I made an album, Lewis:

I think that will work out nicely, Gaieus. I just checked and I was able to log in and start (although I didn't actually complete it) an album upload.
I don't know what happens if more than one person tries to sign in as "owner" at the same time...probably the system blocks all additional "owners" out.
Even non-owners, of course, can view the album if they have the proper invitations, and they may also leave comments.

I'm new to the SCF and I'm planning to be there, but so far I have no housing. As I posted in a message earlier today, I'd like to share.
I'm in my 50s, but I have friends in different age groups. I'm also interesting, entrepreneurial and thoughtful. I've attached a photo. You won't be sorry if you offer to share. Besides, wouldn't you love to have a friend in Portland, OR?
Thanks,
