Double Follow me
-
Hi,
I was wondering if it is possable to create a double follow me script, unless one already exists? In the old days I played with 3DS Max. It had a way to make a form from two 2D forms. For example an airplane wing....you made a 2D top view of a wing and then a 2D view of the cross section. It then swept the cross from the outer end of the wing the small cross section got progressivly bigger as it followed the wings expanding plan shape?
Thanks,

Hi,
I think I have the same request of Matte.
I was playing with Rhinoceros and I have seen the tool "sweep 2 rails", so basically you have a generic curve and two path. By this tool,at the end, you will have a surface starting from the curve and following the two rails.
I'm playing with sketchup because I usually work with it, but I can't find a solution for this problem.
Has anyone a tip?thank you,

Hi
at least you can do that with pushpull and scale, more time consuming than a ruby script who could do that.
I'm sure there is a video tut at tutorial forum.Regards

I agree that it would be nice to have a way to do what is requested here. While not completely automatic, I have used Darrell"s Skin plugin with good success to do something similar. You might find it useful until someone comes up with a plugin specifically for this. Take a look here.

Hi Dave,
I have seen the tutorial!I think it is very useful especially if we don't find a solution for the "double-follow me".
Thank you very much!I think in the future someone will do a script about it, also because it could be solve many and many problems.

The people that do may not tell. I'm betting sometime soon after the 3DBC.
