Dwg to skp

when i import dwg to sketchup, the lines are not all connected. is it really like that? i have to go trace everything again so as to make the lines functional.
and i always have that problem, i can't seem to connect all the lines properly. is there a way to solve this?

there are scripts that correct that problem. one is ExtendCloseLines and it can be obtained from smustard.com. there may be free ones as well. check it out here.
