I have been frustrated by the stickiness of things when I try to make a simple new form in a plane other than the ones on an existing element. Particularly if I want to quickly build a "round" form by drawing half a circle and following that form along an arc. I have started putting a cube in my drawings just to throw it away after aligning things with its faces.

Is there a key to force things into (say) the red/blue plane?

    Thanks,

If you orbit so that you are 'facing' the red-blue plane i.e. looking along the green axis, then it's more likely that the inference engine will pick up the red-blue plane to draw on.
