      hi there
got a new mac recently, found that while using my old logitech wireless mouse the scroll wheel won't zoom when I am holding down shift to constrain a move, line, etc. Shift/constrain works fine independently, as does the zoom/scroll wheel function-- Just not together. This has always worked for me on both macs and pcs. any advice?
      thank you

I believe its a Logitech driver issue. Logitech, MacOS and SU together have not been a harmonious combination.

I use only Logitech mice (with my Macs), but the corded version and as long as I don't install their software I have been fine. I presume you don't have that option with a wireless one.

My recollection from the past was that you could reset what the scroll wheel button was set to do. Making it just a second button click gave it the correct functionality.

I created Dilbertville, sorry about that...

this mouse had worked correctly on my pc, so maybe it is just a mac compatibility issue. I hadn't installed the software on either computer-- I think it is only pc compatible software anyhow....

            Hi Howdy, hi folks.

Try going to your Keyboard/Mouse Control panel and set the middle button (scroll wheel) as button number 3. This is how my Apple cordless Mighty Mouse is set.

            Just ideas.
