        Thanks for the tut REGIS.

        Question; could you not do away with drawing the lines in the beginning? All you need to do is reference (infer) the points on the arc. The lines don't seem necessary. Or am I missing something?

          I'm not sure to understand what you mean.

          I draw those lines to be sure to have points to refer on the same plane.

          When all is done I'm sure to follow exactly the curves.

          Perhaps I can do inferencies when I draw my lines. I'm sure it will be better.

              I think Eric is correct. When either Push/Pulling or scaling, you can infer the existing points on both the overhead arch and the ellipse at the base without having to draw any construction lines.

              You just need to make sure that you push/pull from the far side of the face...beyond the arch, or when scaling to the edge of the ellipse, that you look from below. In both cases this will place the point of inference between you and the geometry you are editing...and it ought to inference without any problem.
              I have already started a similar shape using this method.

                I understand now what you mean. Sure the lines aren't necessary, I've found how to draw the points on the arcs without drawing the lines.
                If I have time I'll edit the video on you tube.

                  Taking a look at your model this morning and i've found the points on the arch.
                  I was thinking they wasn't here. 😳 excuse my answer.

                  Doing a little try this morning and IMO I think drawing just points to infer on the archs is more time consuming than drawing lines like I do in the video.
                  I can use the lines to infer when I push-pull, sometimes it's more easy than looking for a point.
                  Using one method or another is not the most important just the result is important.
