my definite favourit for SketchUp 7 is, that bounding boxes of groups and components align to newly defined coordinate axes.
because, if you allign your axes to a different angle, the bounding boxes of new groups/components still follow the original axes. thats why I rather change the sun direction than position the model to its correct compass orientation... 😞

i second remus' movement: SU sould infer a cube when push/pulling.

even though its not small, i would like to have an option to make objects solid, like filled with stuff, not made out of infinitly thin faces. that way, when i get my hands on a 3-D printer, i dont have to export to a solids modeler.

And what did you get for the paper? Unless it is the best mark, I'll ban you till the end of the semester! πŸ˜„

BTW - I might be very tired )travelling all day and still up at 2 am) but I don't get what you mean by inferencing a cube.

gaieus, what remus means is this: when you push/pull a perfect square, it sould infer when it is a perfect cube. like when you are using the rectange tool, it will infer a "golden section" or "square". see what we mean?

i cant wait to get my greedy little hands on a 3-D printer!!!...

Ah, I see. Makes sense. The cube is somewhat easy to create however with either entering precise values to the VCB or inferencing with other geometry but indeed I have missed the golden section inference quite a lot of times and the workaround for that is rather cumbersome.

Thanks for clarifying it (still very tired).

Hopes this makes sense: the ability to select faces along an axis using the arrow keys.

oh, i see! like you use one of the axis inference keys (ie: up/down for blue axis) and it selects all the faces parallel to that axis. right? i never thought of that, thats a great idea. good thinking, stinky.

This would be nice too: faster exploding. Probably been mentioned a couple of times before. πŸ˜’
