I look forward to reading the book, though.
which one? "Mein Kampf"?
@unknownuser said:
Thoroughly enjoyed the first one
really, did Hitler write one before that?
(sorry, being extremely silly this morning... and now for something completely different...)by the way: we could start a poll on who is optimistic enough to expect SU7 this year.
-
could i place my 'no' vote now?
-
Having said that, didnt google say it was going to be roughly a 2 year product cycle? so that would mean December/January...
-

Yeah? Why's that? 'Mein Kampf' was written in 1924. Poland was invaded in 1939. Errrr ...
And the revelations was written hundreds of years ago but doomsday is still being postponed...

I'm working on it. My high tech mountain hideout is bustling with activity.
But back to the topic at hand. December or January sounds pretty good to me - but ... I wouldn't be surprised if it's later. As long as it's a good release, with some major improvements, I'm happy. Don't care if it comes in January or July.

Then I guess Bible 3 is soon due to be released as well...

I guess the development team has a couple of features in their pockets and the release depends on which they include and how quickly can all possible bugs be sorted out.

I wholeheartedly agree with the other Belgomite.

Better late and good, than a sloppy wrap.
As Stinkie said, it doesn't need to be filled to the top with lots of new features.
I think most of us are concerned that Google will make Sketchup a bit more 'solid' in the first place, in a way the software will run more smoothly on complexer models.
Now is the moment to make Sketchup future proof for a lot of years to come. The hardware has gone through a significant development cycle last years (multicore, 64 bit, etc..). Catching up software wise is the biggest challenge.
This does not only apply to Sketchup, it is a given for all software development, but even more important in the 3D segment as 3D software directly benefits from this hardware boost (if coded accordingly).
Since Sketchup is no longer a 'standalone app', considering all the 3td party software (render engines, plugins, etc..) that is been developed for the SU 'platform', Google now has the responsability to maintain this platform as good as it can and provide a solid base for further growth.

Hear here! (choose the spelling of your choice, i couldnt work it out.)

I can wait if indeed it will be a really good product that will live up to the anticipation.
Of course We waited 20 years for the new Star Wars Prequels and look how well that turned out.

I missed a little Wink- or Sad smiley behind that sentence to indicate sarcasm.

well the Bible can be inspiration for quite some freaky stories. should read it at some point (only from a narrator's point of fiew - its too late to convert to this believe).
(if you draw inspiration from "Mein Kampf" you are a thread for your surroundings and should be locked up ) -

It's only too late when you're dead.
...
are you dead? -
not entirely dead yet. but have figured out sort of my own theory of believe, that is a lot more scientific and suites me quite well.
I lost my faith in God as proposed in Christian Religion when attending confirmatiion classes.
to make me believe in an old bearded man shaping the world, something very dramatic has to happen in my life (probably involving complete amnesia)oh dear, utterly off topic again. should start a thread in the corner bar about that. in fact, isn't there a huge thread about believe (that I always wanted to read but didn't find the time)?
-
sorry everybody still a bit off topic....

isn't it amazing in witch ways we get distracted while waiting for the true Revelation? SU 7 ???!!!!

I would never have thought about worshipping Joe Pesci
now if I choose someone to be my God impersonation it will be someone like Ian McKellen (with a beard - beard=old and wise)but George Carlin has to be right. if there is a God, why does he not listen to millions of prayers asking for SketchUp7?
and if he doesn't because it is not in his divine plan... WHY IS SU7 NOT IN HIS DIVINE PLAN! -
It is i his divine plan, but the humans involved are kind of slow, and HE wants to make sure that it's gonna be Damn DIVINE !!!

and if he doesn't because it is not in his divine plan... WHY IS SU7 NOT IN HIS DIVINE PLAN!Jesus saves.. God is real.. We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
~John 3:16 (King James Version) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
