Healing two faces?
-
Many times in SU I find I have (inadvertently) created a face that somehow is divided into (2) or more faces. Is there any way to "heal" them into one -- like can be done with a line?
Attached is an example.
Thanks, Danty

if you zoom way in where the two faces won't fuse as one, you'll notice there is a kink along the edge.. they are two separate faces because they do not share the same plane and you will not be able to join these as one.. if this stuff happens to you alot while drawing and the kinked sides aren't intentional, you'll have to pay a bit more attention.. use the inference locks and zoom in if you have to.. also, try to make sure each connection is clean before moving on to the next step in order to avoid even bigger problems later in the drawing.

Hi Jeff
Well it seems you are doing double duty tonight -- helping me out.
Yes, there is no substitute for working methodically and with some care.
What's the point of a great model if there are flaws early on that could have easily been caught -- but later on are nigh impossible to fix?I have started using line "color by axis" which helps out very well in catching errors.
Now that you have pointed these technical boo-boos out I will be more able to spot them in the future.
Thanks,
Dantyu
