Yes! I went and picked it up at midnight. I found that it was well worth the wait! Hey cheffey, tell me your gamertag so I can whoop yo ass! Haha!
I was sorely dissapointed by the multiplayer aspect, at least thats how im feeling right now after a 3 hour dose of it at a friends house.
I was going to buy a 360 just for this game but now im not so sure. Its just like playing halo 2, just with more stuff to kill each other with. -

 ...and your point is?
I like the new maps...there are different risks and rewards, and the terrain maps are much nicer. The quality of the terrain data sets and the new rendering and physics are pretty sweet. It reminds me of Gears of War a little, with the environment interaction and new level of detail. I've been pretty happy with it so far...but I haven't played head to head yet.... gotta get my skills back before jumpin in!
I'm not going to stay up as late tonight either!
Cheers,

I, too, was kind of waiting until 3 came out to buy the 360. Sure sounds like they did a great job with this installment. Being able to capture gameplay and save for later viewing sure would be kick ass.
Unfortunately, I just had to buy a new camera rig for shooting interior panoramas and thus went the game budget for a little bit. Dang.
Between halo and PGR 3, -sigh- I sure miss having the time to play like I used to .
Kill one for me boys, kill one for me.

I like the 4 player co-op campaign mode though, that has been a lot of fun. I hope that trend continues in other games. The ability to add in a local split screen and play with online friends is awesome.
Looks like MIT pulled one over on Harvard... Halo 3 style. -
I havent had the chance to play through the campaign (im waiting for my friend to get it so we can co-op it all the way through)
I was more interested in the multiplayer but i gears of war at the moment is still my favourite.... third person view seemed bizarre to start with but now it seems like the best way to do itps if anyone is on LIVE my gamertag is

I am tempted, but think I will wait for November, thats when direct X 10 gets unleashed with graphics never seen before, gameplay never experianced before and a new standard in gaming takes off.

That is some extreme detail on the crab walking. I think we will be seeing that level very soon. The next version of Call of Duty looks incredible and they were saying that anything that keeps them from 60fps they are throwing out. So, I imagine if you don't mind a bit of a slowdown then whatever COD4 looks like you can go a step or two better immediately.

We all need to get on a have Sketchucation match. Just to see who the real killer is!
-
Yeah, i think we can save it in theater and send it to YouTube.

Anyone here play COD 4 on XBOX Live?
-
yep, i play COD4 pretty regularly.
-
I've not played much on Live myself - currently awaiting my gold membership arriving from an eBay seller but I have managed to complete the game on veteran and only a few achievements still to get.
It would be good to get a few SU users in a game at some point.
