Office Pranks

Here are two that were a hit in my office:
"touch-up" a co-worker's photo (add some lurid make-up, say) and then put it on everyone's computer desktop.
Set teh autocorrect in their Microsoft WORD to change certain phrases, names, etc. to street slang.
-
The autocorrect is indeed very annoying
Also a good one if you have those fabric dark desk chairs fill one up with water and wait till your victim sits down.
Personal favorite of mine: add a scheduled task to be executed daily of a loud scream. And set it to execute every day at the same time . Youll have to hide the mp3 first though, stick it in his windows folder or so.

one my favs, is nailing down another guys toolbag to the wood deck when they sit down for lunch.

Another fun one is to go to someone's computer while they are away, minimize their open programs and do a screen capture of their desktop.
Open paint and save the screenshot as an image.
Change their taskbar to autohide (if it is not already).
Hide their desktop icons.
Set the new screenshot image to their background and wait for the cussingYou can improve on this one by using Photoshop to rotate the screenshot image 180 degrees before making it their background. No one trusts me around their computers now.
-
Ours used to involve sending out office juniors to buy one of the following:
A long stand A left-handed screwdriver A tin of tartan paint
-
You can rotate everythng on their desktops - icons, toolbar, wallpaper - by holding down Ctrl+Alt and then the numbers 0 1 2 (or 0 1 4, 0 1 6) on the right hand side of the keyboard.
the numbers 0 1 8 will put everything back correctly.
This freaks people out - very few will figure out how to correct it.

Tried that nothing happened?

Hmmmmmmmm.....seems to work on some computers, some not. All our computers are identical, but only works on some - fortunately, it worked on the one I played the prank on
-
When I worked in a shop (fixing trucks etc) we had a regular broom that we had drilled a hole in the end of, and glued a 1.5' end of an extension cord into. we gave the broom to the new kids, and told them it was a new electric broom, that had to be plugged in to work. it was hilarious to watch them drag a huge extension cord around to plug in the 'electric broom'
(this really only worked on their first day, when they were too nervous to notice how dumb they were lol!)
-
That's just cruel. I hope you took pictures

Probably shouldn't tell this. We have a prankster that loves to pull jokes on people. He recently had a birthday and we found out from his wife... he had a vasectomy recently as well. Don't ask the conversation.. i wasn't a part of that i just used it as fuel.
So, we photoshopped him up pretty bad.
I took a picture of Bob Barker and had him saying to "Have your office prankster spayed or neutered."
I put his face on Pamela Anderson's body looking down at himself saying "You know this procedure hasn't changed me at all".
I put his face on Wonder woman, the village people, even had the local radio/tv guy reporting that "a local man had lost his game"...
We printed these out on the color plotter at like 36"x48" and put them up everywhere.I thought, ok that's definitely going to cross the line and make him mad as hell and he'll stop some of his pranking.
Well, he thought it was the most hilarious thing even brought the print outs home to show his wife...
