Hi CPhillips, it appears that your very great plugin doesn't work within google sketchup 7.
Any idea ?Thanks in advance

Nice one Chris. Will the updated version be any different than previous and will it work with SU6?
-
Thanks a lot CPhilips, I really enjoy your plugin.

I just tried it out under SU7 (free version) and it seems to work ok. How is it failing for you?
Chris

Hi the FFD menu doesn't appear in contextual menu.

Are you sure you installed it in the right place. Should be in the plugins folder.
Can anyone else confirm it does or doesn't work with SU7?
-
FFD isn't appearing for me in SU7.
It's probably my fault for trying to copy the plugins straight from 6 to 7 though.
-
Downloaded it again and installed it. It's working for me now.
-
downloaded and installed in google sketchup 7 plugins folder.
Doesn't workcheers
-
It works fine now.
Thanks a lot.

Chris,
I can't get it to work.
I an trying to bend the centre of the netting but when i move the control points there is no 'Update FFD' option on the right-click menu.
I've posted the model so you can have a look and tell what i'm doing wrong.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Tobobo
It's due to the hidden geometry.
Look at this one, it's different with the hidden geometry, you can easilly deform it where you want.
Just create the group and choose your FFD setting.
curtain.skpcheers
Edit
After some FFD

Thanks REGIS
I'll have to think of another way to deform the netting.
-
Perhaps ypu can subdvide it using subdivide=true when you create your FFD control box.

I am trying to take a simple rectangular solid and deform it. i have to sub divide the surface? how can i go about this?
Thanks,
-Tony

One possibility
Draw a rectangle
Pull it with Ctrl any time you want
Select all (triple click)
Move it one time + CTRL = Copy
Type "10*" (or more) = Multiple
Select all (triple click)
Group it
Select group Right Click / FFD
Edit the goup "FFD"
Move points
Et voilĂ

There's a subdivide feature in the script.right click> FFD> NxN> set subdivide to true.
