oh nice! those textures are great....first sketchup images i've seen with no edges that look good (great)... how'd you do the textures? export isometric elevations or something?

            Thanks...

No fancy footwork, textures applied using standard projected .jpg's

Really nice Solo!! Beautiful photo textures...add Al Hart's bump maps and that could be very, very sweet!

              Thanks for sharing!

Totally cool. There's a real ominous feeling to those, especially the hook hanging from the first building. "If the building is in such disrepair, why would there be that hook still be there? Hope I'm not going to be hanging from it."

LOl, the top three are of a wagon workshop with attached stable. The hook is for securing a wagon in order to replace wheels, think of it as a middle aged 'Jiffy lube'.

                      solo,

Where did you get those textures? They are very nice. We do a lot of aged looking structures as in theme park buildings and rides. This type of texturing would be ideal for the type of work we do.

Off hand I cannot remember where all the textures originated from, however I can say that most of them are either made from scratch with PSP or googled and edited in PSP. If you need any textures 'pm' me with what you require and I will see what I can do.

I agree that this represents some advanced modeling skill. πŸ‘ The only thing that jars me is the stone pattern for the top of the well. It should be concentric πŸ’ instead of in rows.

Man, imagine that thing with some good mapping applied to it. It looks great as it is, some spooky lighting and such and you got yourself something worthy of the latest video games.

If anyone has seen Bioshock, well, this is up to that level.
Oh, and apart from the stones on the well, the hook should be tilted to match its center of gravity, it looks slightly off just sticking out at a straight angle.

                                hi solo,

beautiful work. if you allow me to make some constructive criticism, the convergence of perpspective lines bothers me a bit. in case this is something you consider worth correcting, it would be very easy to do.

i know this is an old post but a question just ocurred to me: no edges, edges by material or hidden edges?

                                  regards.
