Crazy Garage Idea...
-
ok... I know this is crazy, and I'm somewhat embarrassed to post it...
but this is an idea we shot to a big money guy, who wanted to make a franchise garage for gear heads...
don't laugh at me... and remember, it's a not Truck, it's not supposed to be identical to a truck, just give the feeling of the truck...
ok here it is...
-
i have no comment... at all!
-
Hey, and maybe they could stay at the Cozy Cone while on vacation!
-
Wow! 8O
I'm intrigued to know what the big money guy's reaction was...
-
Haha, I love that, it's very cool
-
yep....
if the doorbell is a truck horn, it's gonna play hell on people's hearing.
i bet that was a fun project to do though.EDIT: you know you could have put some flames on the hood, or like a big mack bulldog. those all look like Peterbuilts.

Yes, that is weird!
I wonder if it were developed in a less literal way could it still retain enough essence to suggest the idea without looking like it belongs in a theme park as a hotel concept. The section with the high clerestory windows looks good. The part that is hard to take seriously is the over-the-top truck look.
I don't understand why I have that reaction to it. I suppose we are trained to think in terms of designing tasteful things. Doing designs that are intentionally kitsch is rather foreign.

Ross, I wonder if you've traveled much around the lower 48- especially Texas, Alabama, or Tennessee?
I know people (with money) who would jump all over this concept!
My only problem is this- as much as I love those Corvettes, I think we need a few Mustangs in there too..
(Smiling Southern guy here) -
well if anyone wants to pitch it to anyone... feel free, and they'll be a nice percentage (%$$$%)in it for you...
Reg, I'm a mustang guy too... but I didn't have any mustangs...
on the detail and painting Ideas... I was thinking each owner could customize their truck with the graphics they wanted... Flames Decals and pinstripes...
-
wait... i do have a comment..
where are the trucker girls???
-
the building is actually two units,
the (Truck) front unit being the expensive one,
and (Trailer)back unit being the cheaper...here is the webpage for the project... it has a 25 meg movie on the front...
and here are some night shots...
-
Mark,
I don't have any mudflaps on it... although the chrome girls might look great inside...
-
the name I came up with?
AUTOMINIUM or Car Condo

Kris- If you can find a suitable tract near ANY NASCAR venue, I think you'd have to fight off the offers with a stick!
(Hmmm- how about a coffee shop that uses old gas pumps for espresso, .. and uhh maybe not?)Boofred- That motel is from one of the few DVD's I WILL NOT lend out. I love the plot, the characters, the scenery, the whole thing just knocks me out! (Okay- for the uninitiated: CARS)
-
yeah that's what I thought Reg...
I'll send you a PM about my Nascar Idea...
-
I don't get it? It must be a guy thing....
