      Tom,

The "PrintScreen" program is a very nice and nifty one - better than MS built in features. On one hand.
But I do really like the other (film making) one - especially for little tutorials or something...
      Like this one: http://www.gaieus.hu/su/videos/sphere.avi

(Can you imagine how much I hate to "draw a sphere"???!!!)

        Andrew,
        there is PDF Creator.
Im finding it good for capturing ACAD drawings for emailing to Clients.
And you can specify Jpegs, Pngs etc if you want to.And its cute being able to make PDFs without Acrobat.

If you happen to have a Mac, shift/alt/4 all at the same time gives you a crosshairs that allows you to draw a window and get a png. This works particularly well with dual monitors.

          Cheers, Chuck

              utiler,

Something that most folks aren't aware of is that Alt-PrtScrn (in Windows) captures just the current window, not the entire screen.

Personally, though, I like the screen capture utilities that come with PaintShop Pro and CorelDraw. The one in Corel is probably more powerful--more options for capturing specific screen elements like menus and child windows and cursors and so on. It's a stand-alone utility with a taskbar icon and can save images to the clipboard or to disk. However, I prefer the one in PaintShop Pro; it's simpler, with fewer options, but still fairly capable. It pulls images directly into a concurrent session of PaintShop, where you can crop them, enhance them, resize them, and export them in the image format of your choice.

To the clipboard. Should work. I just tried it.

Gai, I have used your method of creating a sphere, your tut is a bit fast on one or two points. My problem is that my sphere keeps coming up with holes in it, top and bottom. What am I doing wrong?

                      Mike,

One possible cause is that you are modelling in very small scale. When it comes to millimetres, Su tends not to fill very small faces with the follow me tool.

Scale your model up by 10 (or even 100) times (depending on the scale), make the sphere and re-scale it to the size you need.

                        Gai, that worked great. Thanks.

Another question, how did you shift the inference in your tut without moving? Is there a shortcut I missed?

If you mean the rotate tool, I just place it, click one and before releasing, start pulling in a direction (in this case along the red axis - but it can be any line or guide lie or even a "free" direction). Then release the mouse button (the axis is now closed and won't change) and pick the point of rotetion and rotate.

If that's not what you mean, explain, please.

That did the trick, much easier than roaming around the screen waiting for it to change then holding down the shift key

                            Thanks....Mike
