Thanks for the update, Craig. And thanks for making sure support saw this.
you are da man, man

Now I'm pretty sure that in this topic the problem was/is the same.

I have sent an enormous letter to support with a breakdown of all of the major bugs in Sketchup that effect me on a day to day basis.
I have not heard a word back from them, but at least they have the list, with descriptions and suggestions.
Hopefully, SU7 will address all of these, or at least the major ones.
I think that Gaieus is correct concerning the other thread; it certainly sounds like the same issue.
Here's to support blowing us away with their progress! (fingers crossed...)

I'm just wondering:
Support for some image formats (TGA was brought to my notice by a thread in the Groups) seems to have been silently removed from the PC version. Were the original images TGA:s?
Also, at least Photoshop recognizes two ways to write many image formats: the Mac and PC byte orders. Generally the PC byte order works excellently with both the PC and Mac, but files in the Mac byte order format cannot be read by many PC applications (luckily Photoshop can...).

With that Hungarian example it was jpg's. However this might be an answer - the problem is that the Hungarian guy does not really come here too often so I cannot ask.

Here is the link to his model:

Still no official word, FWIW.
Anssi, you make an excellent point. My jpegs were batch processed out of Photoshop on a Mac. I looked through the Photoshop preferences to force a PC compatible version and found nothing that allowed me to change the jpeg version (Mac or PC).
Any idea how to change the batch save settings?
Thanks.

Hi !
I made the "hungarian example" Gaieus mentiOned above ...I'm using a mac,
and downloaded your panorama from the link at the beginning.
WORKS PERFECTLY FOR ME :S -
Thanks for the update.
I am glad to hear that it worked for you. Apparently, there is some sort of a bug with image exif data. As should come as no surprise, it works on a Mac but PC doesn't work.
-
Hi Chuck,
I think I may know what is going on with this issue. I believe your images have an exif (common to digital cameras) format - true? If so, we have finally isolated a bug with exif formatted images. Those images can display correctly on the Mac but fail to display on the PC. Unfortunately, the only workaround that I have found is to save the images with a different format. We are working on this issue though.
Does that help?
Best regards,
Tricia
