my computer doesn't recognise the file type! please help!

You need to place the script within your Plugins folder inside SketchUp. Unzip it, if necessary.

About the plugin, how do you get it in sketchup? I try opening the file but wants to upload as a model and I put it in plugins folder but doesn't appear in sketchup. Does it only work in sketchup 6?

This is an old version of the script.
The new version is here: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=323&t=11746

                          Hi all,
                          Here is the new toy.

                          Enjoy πŸ˜„

                          04.11.08

                          Hi there,
Here is a release of the spray tool, including a layer mask option, and some bug fixes (very high models with sky domes, active_layer automatically put in the dialog box, etc).
                          French version coming soon.
                          Enjoy,

                          DB
