      Hi all,
I've been very very inactive here for some time so I thought I'd fill you in on what I've been up to.

In early December we started the process of buying a house.
In mid December we went to London so my wife could collect her MBE from Buck house.
At the end of December there was this Christmas thing.
Last week we got the keys for the house and have been moving in since.

On top of all this I've had what was probably the most hectic work schedule of my life with multiple projects needing done/finished in the most ridiculous time lines possible.

The London trip was good fun in the most part with Prince Charles handing out the metalwork instead of the Queen. He was very nice and had a chat with everybody who received an award. There was about 200 people receiving awards at the ceremony ranging from a woman who got an MBE for "Services to pig farming" to a couple of marines who were awarded for bravery for something they did in Iraq (I never did find out). Betty Jackson the fashion designer and Joe Cocker the singer got OBE's.
It was quite cool and rather weird to drive right into the palace but after a brief security check we were parked in the quadrangle and walking to the main entrance before we had time to realize what had just happened.

I'd lived in London for 10 years between 87 and 97 but had not been back since, it was interesting to see what had changed/not changed, what I found was that the thing that had changed most was ME. It was a rather interesting experience to see all the insular, self contained people managing to pretend that nobody else existed knowing full well that I was just like them ONCE.
After 4 days I was glad to leave.

On the gadget front I've been a bit busy:
HP TX1260 (1100 in the US) tablet PC
--- Nice and small but SU and Vista wont play together very well.

Lumix FZ-18 camera with 28-504mm zoom
--- Fantastic camera with image stabilisation and loads of useful features.

      Apple iPhone
--- Very impressed, its just so slick compared with my Pocket PC phone.

New Washing machine, Dishwasher, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer
--- Not really gadgets but at ~Β£2000 they better bloody good!

So that's it, not much of an excuse for not being around but it'll do. πŸ˜‰

      PS.
I'm currently exporting a 10500 frame animation of the street model I'd uploaded images of previously (old forum I think) that's due for Tuesday, I'll drop it on youtube later in the week.

        Paul,
Good to see you come back - I came back earlier this week, and our stories sound as similar as they could, with me living in Canada, and you in UK. My wife wasn't getting an MBE, she was just creating life! πŸ˜„

I looked over some more images of your church model upon my return and it blew my mind once again, exhaled and felt at home. Glad you are back too.

Whether they find a life there or not, I think Jupiter should be called an enemy planet.

Looks like a very busy and expensive time, but sounds fun!

              Good to have you back.

What did your wife receive the MBE for?
