If in the event of need for this curious behaviour, “virtual intersection keeping associated dimensions”, here is an skp to demonstrate. Fairly easy to create and it can keep your model clean(er).

I didnt understand a single word of that. I never use those kinda' inferences. I stick to the classic 'Shift' while drawing the line.
