How to highlite
-
Hi all!
Need some help:
I'm working on a industrial-complex that consist of various building divided over 6 security-areas.
These security-areas all have different colours assigned (from white-yellow-oranje to red etc)
What I would really like is, whilst presenting, with the push of button, I'm able to high lite specific buildings with these colours.
I've tried colouring the buildings in different layers but that doesn't work, also with scenes it is not possible to show changes in the model with different scenes.
I've tried to look for pages but found nothing, is this a SU-Pro option only..? Are pages my way to go??Thank you very much!!,
Greetings from Holland

Hi and welcome to the forums.
You will practically double your geometry (thus it is better to make those security areas into components rather than groups as I did).
Now create 6 scenes where the coloured "versions" of the ares will be (placed one-by-one into the layers) and 6 layers where the non-coloured versions will be the same way.
You can now create 6 scenes (it was called Pages in SU5 - that's where the confusion comes from) and assign the visibility of the layers in a way that only one colured layer is visible and all the other coloured layers are turned off. On the other hand, turn off the non-coloured layer of the area you are displaying in colour but turn on all the non-coloured layers for the rest of the model.Create your first scene this way (make sure that in the scene dialogue - window menu - the layers are checked when updating).
Do the same for the rest of your model (finally creating 6 scenes). See attached file also (open the Layers dialogue to see the changes and go through the scenes).
