This has just been published in newspapers so I reckon it's ok to put on here!
Made in sketchup, rendered in artlantis, bit of photoshop (cough)Hope the image is an ok size.

Cheers for the comments - yup - shiny floor - it, of course, wasn't originally - I used some artistic license. ..
Here's an interior I did in artlantis. . . it's a funny old program isn't it? I generally dislike a great deal of it - but for ease and speed it can't be beat - add a bit of photoshop to try and reduce the obvious plastickyness of it and bob's your uncle!
I bet you'll all say the floor's too shiny on this one as well - and the ceiling

Pretty nice. I've gotta say that this is my favorite section of the forum. I love seeing the renders you guys come up with. Even when they're flawed, they're still pretty amazing (and better than we'd all likely do by hand).

im not usually a big fan of interior shots but that looks amazing i am quite keen on Artlantis too but my images look nowhere near as nice as that good work!

the windows /glass on the buildings, they look wrong. reflection of the clouds seem to be missing.

It is a very nicely modelled scene. It would be an interesting one to see rendered in various packages.

Yeh - the glass is a bit fresnelly isn't it. . :S DOH! Not sure about the cloud reflection comment - do you ever get cloud reflections on the inside of windows? or do I have them when they shouldn't be there - maybe it's that darned large fresnel size? ))
Here's another artlantis interior - I think the trick with any artlantis render is to see it as a base for photoshopping afterwards - otherwise you're stuck with a very flat image. The GREAT thing about artlantis is that you can render to a psd file - which contains separate alpha, sky, depth map, and material maps - whichever genius added that little option deserves a gold star award. Also - making sure you use multiple textures for a lot of the materials - even if it just adds a very subtle effect over the surface.
I'd like to share the last interior model file - I always like to see those renderer comparison shots - but, as you can see, it's filled to the hilt with formfonts furniture. . . I'm sure there'd be a general uproar from them and their hoard of copyright lawyers!

Very nice clean look!!! Awesome render. And yes the psd function is a go given function I know . I would love to see more of this kind of work, it captures the atmosphere just perfect. Very well done!

Im with Rob, I really enjoy seeing these type of renders. Infact im going to try some myself with Kerkythea.
I really like your windows with blinds, did you model these yourself?
Also the image for the outside looks very real, you have blended it very nicely.

Model the blinds?!?!? Are you crazy?!? They're an altered formfonts model.
Yeh - I think a good match between interior and background image is one of the most important things if you want an image to be convincing. . . here's another one - not the best render - but I think the marriage between the interior and background rescues it.

I always have problems with this part of the game; I model something and am too eager to see some results and too impatient to set up the scene to be so nice (well, I1m not even that great renderer either - just playing around...)This is really nice.

I feel like crying when I see these renders. I cant achieve such level of photorealism!
btw, Artlantis isnt even that "old". They released Artlantis Studio last year and they are going to release a new version this year, which supposedly is capable of Maxwell level photorealism.
And anyway, isnt Artlantis better than Podium?

HI marcday great work as usually, i'm big fan of your tutorial of the worncall technique!! if you guys don't know about this you can see it here: http://www.pushpullbar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3064&highlight=worncall+technique it's amazing what you can do with SketchUp an d Photoshop. also marday i have contribuite to it with the styles for sketchup 6 sinse the ruby to follow your tutorial can't work in skp 6 only in 5
