How to make Hatchings ?

Hello everybody,
Is anybody knows how to apply hatchings on an area with sketchup ? or has a tip to do so ? I mean the kind of stuff you can do with autocad, etc.

Hello there and welcome (as currently our "newest member")
Do you mean those architectural markings they use for section cuts for instance? You can paint any face in SU with any image (texture) such as hatches for instance.

There is no hatch feature in SU like the one in ACAD.
You would have to apply a material to achieve the effect like Gaieus said.
There are some Sketchy Materials around wghich would be suitable for some types of hatching.Alternatively you could create your own.
