Printing PDF -to dark ?
-
Hi
I'm trying to print a PDF from Sketchup - using a PDF virtuel printer.
I'm trying to achieve a simple, line drawing, floor plan with shaded textures.
But it seems like there is a big cloud on front of the sun.If I don't use HLR the 'darkness' disapears, but the drawing looks like a bitmap drawing, and lost its the sharpness from the HLR format.
Settings:
Display - shaded
No shadows
PDF setting - use HLRCan anyone help ?

I haven't tried to print anything directly to PDF with shadows on: I an usually trying to clean it up better to print. If I wanted to print shadows I would export to 2D (jpg) with a style I wanted and PDF the .jpg. Maybe this will help.

Hi rhankc
I'm trying to print without shadows, but with face style 'shaded'.

err, yeah, I see, uncheck HLR and select Ultrahigh definition aright above that..

When you print a vector PDF, either by clicking on the "use high-accuracy HLR" option in the Print dialog, or by exporting a PDF via the Export>2D Image function, the SU view is exported as a 2D image with vector lines and flat-colour fills. It seems to me too that no settings in the shadow settings dialog, like the light and dark sliders, or the "use sun for shading" have any effect on the darkness and colours of the generated fills. I don't know if it is a bug, or just a feature lacking...
