This company has a wide variety and many styles of rugs to use as jpgs for rugs in your models. Check them out if you are in need of such a thing.

Thanks for the link, but their site is down. One thing though- are you sure their images aren't copyrighted? I'd be very suprprised if they weren't.
-
You know I didn't even consider the copyright issue (which I should have of course). I would assume that they were copyrighted unless you can find otherwise. But who knows perhaps they would authorize use in this way?
-
AFAIK it would only be an issue if you used them in commercial work, it should be fine to use them in hobby work. In cases like this, there might even be a chance they would grant you the rights to use this for commercial work as it is advertising for them.

Thanks for the link.
Here is also a good one I use frequently. -
But really folks, look at the advertising they just received by sketchy's referral.
Now if we put a nice persian in a mega million residence, and the lady thinks she want one for her master suite...she want to know where that rug came from and of course you set her up shopping on the site you decorated her house with.... and she tells her friends...I see it as win/win... -
So you mean I modelled my rug in Sketchup for nothing... http://sketchup.fizion.nl/huis50.jpg color has to be changed and it still needs some finetuning

You can also check out http://www.accustudio.com/exchange/textures.php?dir= for area rug textures. They also have hundreds of other textures in many different categories.

The rugs are only scratching the surface on that site.
Check out the section of pictures! A fantastic collection and quality images.
