Annoying Save Glitch
-
I could not seem to save my keyboard model properly anymore because some function called "Check Validity" deletes some faces of my model every time I tried to save it. Please note that I am still using version 5.0.305 as shown in the screen capture.
I had to upload the model on File front as the .skp file is too big to upload here (3.70 MB).

The validity check is telling you there is something screwy with your geometries. I'd suggest opening the version with those deletions and just rebuild the missing faces. At that point your model should be glitch free and you can smile.

Well I fixed the faces and clicked the "Fix Problems" button under "Statistics". It told me there were no problems. Then I tried saving the model again and, to my surprise, it blew holes in the keyboard again. I am baffled.

Hellfire,
Try to scale the whole model up to (say) 10 times and do the same (fixing/saving etc).
Though this usually does not create problems while saving, SU handles smalll faces badly. Maybe we encounter the same glitch here (in an unusual context).

Okay I scaled the model up 10 times and re-ran the validity check. The attached is what it spat out at me. I am not sure what it means but it sure deleted those same faces again. I am not sure how I am to fill the holes back up.

Wow that's weird...
Do the skb (autosave) files present this problem, too? Maybe try to leave SU open for a while than exit without saving the model and open the autosaved skb file to see if those faces are still in there. If so, don't save it but maybe share the skb file with us somehow and we can have a look into it. -
Was the model originally created by you in SketchUp or is it imported?

They keys of the keyboard were taken from J-m@n's "Standard Qwerty Keyboard" model. I am not sure if that was modeled in Sketchup. The rest of it is created in Sketchup 5.0.305.

I had actually successfully copied and saved the keyboard and keys by creating a new Sketchup file in which I pasted the keyboard in. It took two steps though or else it will blow holes in the board again. I first copied the "board" and pasted it in then the keys.
I shall upload both the old file (skp and skb) along with the new one so you can compare them.
EDIT: The files are uploaded here:
