How to model corners of a cell phone?
-
Well guys, until this is developed by someone to a tutorial here, let me move it.
Thanks for your understanding...BTW - the "trick" is with the "Follow me tool". All of this modelling can be done with it.
-
I've made a little tutorial that shows how I would use the follow me tool to create this kind of shape. The dimmensions are nowhere near what those of the actual phone are. I am trying to explain the technique.
Now I just have to figure out how to upload the clip

-
Even though I'm not the one that started this topic, I would be interested in learning more about how to use the follow me tool to make this. I had given the follow me some thought while I was trying to work out a solution for the original post, but I don't have the expertise the two of you do. Looking forward to the lesson

Nice tut Jean.

Excellent Jean, once again a great tut.

OK, I couldn't figure out how to upload and attach the video tutorial I made with Camtasia so I decided to upload it the old fashioned way.
Hope you find it useful. To be continued...

And here's part 2...

I think I first saw this technique in one of Jean's tutorials, or maybe Eric's.
I'm gratefull to hwo-ever it was as I use this technique often. -
Another method, thanks for that Gidon it is a very quick way.
-
I had to laugh, as soon as I saw your first image Gidon I thought of a dancing domino with no spots
Nice tut. -
