I was wondering...

Since i like to make several passes at a model and make some renders to see how it all fits together, is there a way i can like... set up the scene, then sort of "add in" the changes i make later on in SU? Right now i have this bit of a skate park im putting together, and i would like to know if its possible to save all these settings and apply them to an updated version of the model. Or will i have to just save the textures that i have set up the way i want and apply them to a new version of the model.

what rendering software are you using?
I do this sort of thing in Maxwell and Artlantis. -

Well, I've never tried Kerky. There are some Kerky experts here though, they should be able to help.
I typically add trees in the rendering software, and I seperate larger projects by layer and import the layers seperately so that if the buildings change I can keep the site model, cars, etc. already textured up. Then isolate that Building layer and re-export it by itself and import into the rendering software.I got the idea from Jeff Jacobs discussing his workflow from Modo on that beach house he was working on. (in the old sketchup forums) Bringing it in seperated is a bit more work up front but it gives you flexibility later on.

u can always merge ur models together in KT..
for example..
u have some new compnents that u made and want to export it into ur exixting (OLD) xml file (say 1)... all u gotta do is select the new components and then when u try to export the model a new tab called "Export Selection Only" will appear.. turn it on to "yes" which it automatically would do.. and export as a new XML file (say 2).in KT.. open ur old XML (1.xml) and the go to File>Merge (or CTRL+M)....
a new dialog box will appear where u can follow the settings i have attached....press ok and u can browse to ur new XML (2.xml) and open it!
P.S: in a similar fashion u can even add new lights, camers etc...only problem with this that i find is that the materials in the new components are repeated so u will have to replace it with the exisiting material in the old file (if u have changed any properties that is..)
this problem will be solved when the next SU2KT plugin is released where all the material properties can be defined in SU itself.. (such as reflevtivity, bump, transparency etc. etc... )

Can't wait for the new SU2KT, it sounds awesome from what everyone is saying.
