Extension Request: Fit Texture to Rectangular Face

Hi All,
I'm not a developer, and I'm not sure if this is allowed, but does anyone know of an extension or know how to recreate an extension that will simply expand/fit/stretch a material to the extents of a rectangular face regardless of the proportion of the material or the proportion of the face?Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

It's not difficult to adjust a texture to fit a face using the native tools. Is it OK if the texture is distorted in the process of making it fit?

UV Toolkit² has "Fit Texture To Quad Faces." If that's what you're looking for.
