      Another little steam engine. The flywheel has a diameter of 80mm. Nothing but SketchUp.

        @Dave-R Very nice sir! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

        You said all SketchUp. Did you use any plugins? I wish I had the knowledge/skill to do something like this. I am not an artist or engineer and see many post from people like you and am very impressed. πŸ˜€

            @tuna1957 thank you sir. I have been amazed at how many different little steam engine models I've found.

              Yes, I did use a few extensions. For this latest one TIG's Extrude Edges by Rails, Fredo6's Fredo Corner and Round Corner., and TIG's Tangent Tools, Eneroth Solid Tools, and Bool Tools2 is about all.

              By saying "all SketchUp" I meant there was no external rendering done.

              And thank you!

                    Here's another little one. It's about the same size as the previous one.

                        Worth keeping in one place so they can be found more easily, A bit like the defunct best of thread.

                        Being a bit like a big kid, I always want to see more.

                                        Not a steam engine this time. Instead this is a machinist's model of a shaper. The top part reciprocates forward and back pushing a cutter over the work clamped in the vise. As the machine cycles the table with the vise on it increments to the side after each stroke.

                                            @tuna1957 Thank you. Shapers were fairly common in the late 1800s and early 1900s. There are still some in use today, though.
