Computer Specs

Hi everyone, have been a little quiet of late with working remotely. Great to be back here and seeing some longtime members.
I'm about to pull the lever on a new desktop [old one kicked the bucket after nearly 8 years] so I'm a bit rusty on what hardware / combinations SU members are using.Attached is the specs I've received from my local computer shop. They suggest that AMD have taken a huge leap forward over Intel; I recall the opposite applied when I last built a system.
I woudl love some feedback on what you guys are using or prefer to for your ideal setup.
Have a super day.

Hey Andrew!
That's a solid system for design work and rendering. Of course you could go higher and get amongst the weeds on the finer details.
But in terms of having a very serviceable device that has some grunt it ticks the boxes.
Personally I'd go 4080 on the GPU. If they have an option for 4080 make sure your PSU is 750w as the 650w won't do.
Otherwise its a good build that's more than adequate to do 3D work and rendering.

@Rich-O-Brien Hey mate, hope you're doing well...
Thanks for the feedback Rich, I don't render as much as I have done in the past but still want the system to do so when the need arises... I'll certainly pose the question to them and see what difference in price it is.You know; I often think about Basecamp 2010 in Colarado and the Sketchuppers I met there... was such a long time ago but always fond memories to maybe get back in the room with some quality people.
Cheers mate.

@utiler If its straight up SketchUp stuff you're fine with that build. More than enough.
Really nice to hear from you too. Those late night IRE v AUS banter sessions were fun.

How much vram on your 4060? What render engine do you use? I have just been down this rabbit hole
